About Me

AboutI’m a young wife, mom, and entrepreneur trying to pick up the pieces of my yesterday before things got so beautifully complicated by family life. Join me on my road back to finding myself again and learning this balancing act of family, career, and my social happenings as I share my joys, sadness, triumphs, and the insane moments on this journey as a wife & “mum” in The Wifum Chronicles.

20150703_201413 (2)Update (2015): I began this blog in 2009 at the time I was still trying to get a handle on being a new wife and mom hence WIFUM (Wife-mom (mum) was created. One night I found out about WordPress and was instantly hooked. Since that time my family has blossomed, hubby and I will celebrate 10 years of marriage this December (yay us), munchkin is headed to the fourth grade, we now own a 7-month-old puppy Brownlie (pictured in the header on the main page), and we work for a boarding school in IL where we’ve juggled our lives and all that comes with it in addition to 10-12 teenage girls for 10 months of the year.
20170201_135905Update (2017): This year I have decided to do a little revamping and I’ve changed the name of the blog from “The Wifum Chronicles” to “Tdswali Tells All” as the content of the blog has always been about all aspects of my life. My husband and I are still working with students at the boarding school in suburban Chicago. Recently my husband has started college, my daughter now in 5th grade is months away from junior high, and I recently lost my mother to Congestive Heart Failure. Adjusting to change is never easy but even in our most weary moments, there is a sense of joy and profound insight for the lessons of the past and what lies ahead. I’m somewhere in the middle of that and trying to figure out these thirties, my life’s purpose, and a way to make it all come together. The same content with a new name and over time a revamped look. Enjoy and Happy New Year! #coloringoutsidethelines

It is written, we overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the words of our testimony. Sharing life events is both a blessing to the one testifying and to the one who shares with them. Thank you for sharing with us. You may want to consider publishing the Wifum Chronicles one day.
